Roofing crew installing a new asphalt shingle roof on a suburban North Texas home

Roofing Contractor Serving Garland, TX Homeowners

Garland neighborhoods are full of long-standing single-family homes on their second or third roof. That history matters — what is under the shingles is often the deciding factor in the scope.

A large share of Garland's housing was built between the 1950s and the 1980s, which means many roofs here have already been replaced once, sometimes twice, and occasionally layered over instead of torn off. When we open one of those roofs we are as interested in the decking and the previous installer's flashing work as we are in the shingles themselves.

Garland also sits in a part of Dallas County that regularly catches the northeast track of spring storms. Wind uplift along ridges and rakes is a recurring pattern we see on homes near Firewheel and along the Duck Creek corridor, and it often shows up as a handful of missing tabs rather than obvious damage.

Whether the outcome is a full replacement or a contained repair, you get the same thing first: someone on the roof, and a written scope you can read before spending anything.

Residential roofing

Residential roofing services in Garland

Single-family residential work, scoped from what is actually on your roof rather than a package price.

Roof replacement

Tear-off down to the deck, decking assessment and a full new roof system — the usual outcome for Garland roofs that are past their second decade.

Roof repair

Wind-damaged shingle runs, valley leaks, flashing separation and pipe boot failures repaired without disturbing sound sections.

Asphalt shingle roofing

Architectural and impact-resistant shingle systems installed with the matching underlayment, starter, ventilation and ridge components.

New roof installation

Roofs for additions, patio enclosures and garage conversions, tied into the existing roof line correctly.

Decking and structural repair

Soft or rotted decking found during tear-off is replaced rather than covered, and it is documented for you.

Second-layer removal

Layered roofs stripped to a single clean deck so the new system sits on a proper substrate.

Roof replacement for Garland homes

On older Garland roofs, the shingles are frequently only part of the story. Layered installations, aging decking and flashing that was reused during a prior re-roof all affect how the new system should be built. We identify those conditions during the evaluation so they are priced in the proposal instead of appearing mid-project.

  • Existing layers removed completely so the new system is installed on exposed, inspected decking.
  • Deteriorated decking replaced and documented, not shingled over.
  • New flashing at walls, chimneys and penetrations rather than reusing bent or corroded metal.
  • Ventilation reviewed as part of the replacement, since attic heat is one of the quiet causes of early shingle failure.

Roof repair for Garland homes

Storm-related repairs in Garland tend to cluster: a stretch of ridge cap gone, tabs lifted along a windward slope, a boot that cracked in the sun and now drips into a hallway ceiling after every heavy rain. Those are all repairable conditions when the rest of the roof still has life left.

  • Missing and lifted shingles replaced and the surrounding field re-secured.
  • Ridge cap and rake edge restored where uplift started.
  • Leak diagnosis that follows the water path instead of guessing from the interior stain.
  • A clear statement of remaining roof life so you can budget for the replacement on your schedule.

Garland roofing questions

My roof already has two layers of shingles. Does that change the project?

Yes. A layered roof takes more tear-off labor and disposal, and the deck underneath is unknown until it is exposed. We account for that in the evaluation so the proposal reflects the real condition.

A few shingles blew off. Is that a repair or a replacement?

It depends on the age and condition of the surrounding field. If the shingles are still pliable and well-adhered, a repair is usually the right call. If they are brittle and shedding granules, patching tends to be short-lived.

Do you replace damaged decking?

Yes. Anything soft, delaminated or rotted is replaced during the project, and we show you what was found.

Do you work in Garland on direct-pay projects?

Yes. Homeowners paying directly for the project are welcome, and the process is identical.
